Colette FIRMANI Obituary
Colette Auriti Firmani Age 76 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2004. Colette was born in Catanduva, Brazil and came to the United States settling in Kennett Square, PA. She was a 1946 graduate of Kennett High School and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1951 with a degree in fine arts and pursued a career in graphic design. She worked in Buffalo, NY and Wilmington, DE. Colette was a talented artist. She liked to draw. She played the guitar and sang in the choir at St. Elizabeth's Church. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and was active in the Pro-Life movement. Colette was much loved and will be missed by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Cipriano (Chip) Firmani in 1987, whom she married in 1962. Colette is survived by her children, Anthony A. Firmani and his wife, Susan E., of Wilmington, DE, Marian E. Firmani of Providence, RI, Colette F. McDonald and her husband, James, of Lewisville, PA and Mary Frances Firmani of New York, NY; her sister, Marie Haynes of Merchantville, NJ; her grandchildren, Adrienne McDonald, Kaitlyn Firmani and Erin Firmani. She is also survived by her nieces, Marina and Andrea Haynes. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Church, Cedar & S. Clayton Sts., Wilmington on Saturday, May 8 at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 1900 Delaware Avenue on Saturday morning from 9-10 am.
